A word about Hannah Montana and “the concert of the year”…

WHAT?
I was shocked, dismayed, frustrated and possessed with a blind rage usually reserved for drunken drill sergeants when I read about how hot the tickets were for the new Hannah Montana tour. I’m psyched that I live in a country where the hottest concert of the year is a Disney corporation invention featuring a 14-year-old girl who sings about having a crush and how she wants to show you the secret side of her (which, apparently, isn’t a pregnant one.)
Why is this concert the one that is catching attention? Is it because the world of pop culture is run by teenage girls? Or maybe it’s because Montana’s music (she’s actress Miley Cyprus BTW) is deemed safe for middle, God-fearing America. With that in mind, I decided to investigate said lyrics.

Hannah Montana. What has this world come to? I read somewhere that the average ticket for the Hannah Montana tour was being resold for $214. What 14 yr old has that type of cash?

The same 14 year old bastards on My Super Sweet 16 that have 20 grand to drop on a birthday party. When I was young… we entertained ourselves with matches and grandma’s eyebrows. Ok, that was last week. But still.
