Aw, this was a genuinely quality post. In theory I'd like to write like this too - taking time and real effort to make a fantastic post... but what can I say... I procrastinate alot and never seem to get something done. Respectfully, Jonell.

My moment of shame came at a Mighty Mighty Bosstones show in the mid 90's. H20 opened for the Bosstones at the Trocadero in Philly. It used to be really easy to get on stage at the Troc. I crowd surfed my way onto the stage during H20's set and began dancing around like a moron around the band members.

Sounds shameful enough, right?

Well, before security pulled me down, the lead singer of H20 ran up and started grinding one me from behind. All of a sudden, I felt him rubbing on me. I turned and looked back at him, turned back to the lights and the crowd... and then quickly jumped off the stage.

My friend who was there with me reminded me at every concert after that I had been humped on stage by the lead singer of H20.

I saw The Darkness too and am not ashamed. And I won't be ashamed when I see them again at a county fair.

I have only seen shameful bands that were co-headlining with bands I wanted to see. Also, it wasn't so much the bands themselves but their followings. I went to see Coheed and Cambria (a band I like) and Avenged Sevenfold (a band I tolerate) at the Chevy Amphitheatre in Pittsburgh. My friends and I were the only people there who weren't wearing the requisite clothing for the show. Apparently black hoodies, odd androgynous haircuts and lots of metal (piercings, spikes, chains...?) were the required uniform for fans of the bands.

I also saw The Darkness at the same venue. I think maybe I'm supposed to be a ashamed of that, but I love that band dearly.
