Free Live Tracks – Okkervil River
December 13th, 2007 - by Eddie
The band that I constantly miss on tour has given me, and the rest of their fans, an early present for Christmas (Whatever. I’m sick of using “holiday” for everything).
According to TheTripwire.com, Okkervil River has released a free EP of cover songs they performed on tour this year. And, surprisingly, the quality is excellent. I wasn’t even sure it was live until I heard applause after one of the songs. I think it’s exciting to see that they went for Randy Newman and Joni Mitchell. That’s impressive.
Still don’t know Okkervil River? Then pick up The Stage Names and join society. Seriously. There’s a reason I’m pissed that I miss their show all the time.
