Tours of Note: Mika
December 27th, 2007 - by Linda
I’m pretty sure I’m not alone, but I can’t get enough of Mika. His debut album, Life in Cartoon Motion, puts me in a great mood every time I hear it. I’ve been listening to it regularly since I bought it in May (it was released in the US in March) and I’m still not sick of it. As you may have guessed, I’m kind of a sucker for falsetto voices and silly pop songs, so you can imagine how excited I was to hear he’d be touring the US in February. It’s a very short tour, but he’s hitting cities all over the country. If you haven’t caught the Mika fever yet or you won’t be able to catch a concert, I urge you check out the albumLife in Cartoon Motion. And in the meantime, here’s a video of “Lollipop” to get you in the mood:

Life in a Cartoon Motion is a cool title but not as cool as some of these blog names I’ve seen in music world. Like this one, for example. 52 shows–does that mean you go to a show each night of the year? Don’t forget your earplugs!

Not every night — but at least once a week was the original goal. 52 weeks, 52 shows.
